About Aeolus Music

Aeolus Music is an independent record label featuring the instrumental and vocal artistry of Ruth Barrett and Cyntia Smith.  Their original music is inspired by myth, folklore, ancient symbolism and the celebration of nature.  They are also interpreters and arrangers of traditional Celtic music. Ruth and Cyntia have taken the fretted dulcimer, a traditional instrument from the Appalachian Mountains, and transformed it into a contemporary medium for their new acoustic music.  Their classical fingerpicking style, combined with powerful and beautiful vocals, creates an enchanting tapestry that envelops their audience.
We are also proud to present the handmade classical dulcimers of Dale E. Foye and Cyntia Smith as well as Master Luthier Foye's renowned flamenco and classical guitars.  These acoustic instruments are completely handmade in Mr. Foye's workshop in Southern California.  Clients may select from a variety of beautiful woods with custom inlays and sound holes available.  For further information, return to our HOME PAGE.
